Induction of HIF-1α by hypoxia in NB cell lines. Western blot analysis of HIF-1α levels at normoxia (N) and hypoxia (H) in the 9 cell lines listed on top of the blot. Cells were cultured under normoxic or hypoxic (1%O2) condition for 18 hrs. Total protein lysates were analyzed by western blot using a mAb specific for human HIF-1α. A protein marker was run as a molecular-sized standard. The blot was rehybridized with anti-β-actin mAb to control for protein loading.
