Upper panels show the side of the molecule containing the catalytic site: the inhibitor from superimposed mouse renin template is shown in ball and stick representation. Lower panels show the opposite face of the molecules. Red colouring indicates negative charge and blue positive charge. Electrostatic calculations were done with APBS [55].
