Distribution of carnation transcripts in the anthocyanin (flavonoid) biosynthesis pathway. Previously published sequences in GenBank belonging to the flavonoid biosynthesis pathway were used in BLAST searches to identify genes in the carnation EST database. Each enzyme name is followed in parentheses by the number of contigs homologous to gene families encoding this enzyme.
