  1. aVdLs.17 expressed sequence tag (EST) collections were generated from cultures grown in CM (complete medium), CM + RE (CM amended with root extract), or CM-N (CM lacking nitrogen source). For VdLTRE2, VdLTRE3 and VdLTRE4, the corresponding ESTs aligned with all three elements except that * one EST aligned with only VdLTRE4, ** four ESTs aligned with both VdLTRE 3 and 4, and *** one EST aligned with only VdLTRE3.
