Genes encoding secreted and transmembrane molecules are enriched among mab-5 RNA-seq targets. The four combined classes of mab-5 RNA-seq target genes as described in Results are categorized as to their annotation on Wormbase (see Methods). In each class, the percentages of predicted secreted and transmembrane molecules (teal and orange) are indicated. This enrichment is significant by binomial analysis (Table 3) in each case except UP in loss of function.
