Illumina sequencing identifies a novel miRNA/TARGET module consisting of miR5640 and its target, AtPPC3. A. We analyzed the RNA levels of miR5640 predicted precursor using RT-qPCR in WT plants and in the dcl1-9 mutant. B. We used RLM-RACE to validate AtPPC3 as target of miR5640. The arrows show the numbers of colonies found with the cleavage product. C.
