Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) image of CNV14q12 (red) and RP11-79B13 (green), a control region on chromosome 14 that did not show a deviation from normal copy number according to the microarray comparative genomic hybridization experiments. The arrow marks the pair of FISH signals at CNV14q12. Quantitative-FISH showed that the marked probe was indeed due to hybridization at 2 adjacent loci rather than a split signal.
