Different spermatogonial germ cell populations are distinguished in images c–d: Sg – Spermatogonia types A and B (ASG/BSG), Sc – Spermatocytes, Sd – Spermatids, Sz – Spermatozoa. Sections were stained with H&E staining. 20x objective was used in all images. Detailed information regarding the image acquisition is provided in the ‘Methods’ section
