  1. The microarray FC was calculated from the signal log ratios as follows: 2Signal log ratio if signal log ratio ≥ 0 and (−1) × 2–(Signal log ratio) if signal log ratio < 0. Signal log ratios were calculated from n = 6 microarrays per group. The qPCR FC was calculated analogously from normalized 2-ΔCt ratios. Normalized 2-ΔCt expression was calculated from n = 14 samples per group
