Swarming tests of fadD-derivative mutants of Rm2011 and the pSymA-cured strain A818 (A), of double mutants lacking fadD and rhizobactin 1021-related genes (B), and wild type and fadD-derivative mutants under standard (22 μM FeCl3) and high iron conditions (220 μM FeCl3) (C). Photographs were taken 48 hours after inoculation and are representative of three replicates from at least three different experiments.
