Validation of microarray-obtained gene expression by Q-PCR. The relative expression of Fam107a, Dusp1, Cdkn1a and Car8 in prednisolone-treated versus vehicle-treated wild type (WT) and GR^dim mice was validated by Q-PCR. Differences in expression between two samples were calculated by the 2^ΔΔCt method [103, 104]. Mean differences in gene expression between WT and GR^dim mice were analyzed using the Student's t-test. No expression was observed for Fam107a and Cdkn1a in vehicle and prednisolone-treated GR^dim mice (Ct > 30). Asterisks denote p-values as follows: *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01 and ***p < 0.001.
