The deduced position of the dif locus at around 1.425 Mbp is indicated in the linear representation of the chromosome. The position of the origin of replication (oriC) is marked. (B), Nucleotide sequence of the dif region in the C. aurimucosum ATCC 700975 chromosome. The 28-bp sequence is aligned with the consensus sequence of actinobacterial dif sites [20].
