Microarray experiments. Two independent microarray experiments were performed using pygmy squid head mRNAs and pygmy squid body mRNA using the same microarray design. A) Out of 7,987 human probes, 5,435 and 5,431 probes could detect significant expression of squid genes in head and body, that stands for 68 % of human probes.
