Blue, red, and white indicate positively charged regions, negative areas and neutral regions, respectively, with the scale indicating ± kbT/ec, where kb is the Boltzmann constant, T is the temperature and ec is the charge of one electron. The heparin binding sites correspond to the basic regions localized in each domain.
