The number of short reads overlapping a miRNA locus was divided by the total number of reads overlapping all miRNA loci to calculate the percentage of transcripts overlapping each miRNA. Results are show for the top ten most abundant miRNAs in each sample. E) Normalized counts for selected miRNAs expressed in all life stages tested are shown.
