Circular genomes have been arbitrarily linearised on the tRNA gene immediately upstream of cox1 to allow ease of comparison. tRNA genes are designated by the single letter amino acid code. Genes which are underlined are encoded on the opposite strand from the majority of genes in that genome. Black gene blocks represent putative control regions.
