  1. a Sensitivity was evaluated using a microtiter growth inhibition assay with a 48 h drug exposure. IC50 values are the means ± standard deviation of at least three independent experiments. The IC50 was defined as the drug concentration that reduced the absorbance to 50% of the value measured for the untreated control culture, and was compared to cisplatin sensitivity of the corresponding wild-type parental strain. Hypersensitive strains are indicated as HS and resistant strains as R.
