The similarity function of the selected 32 eRNAs (Additional File 6) was calculated as described in Methods. A spatial representation of each motif along the length of sequences containing it was calculated. A relative scale of RNA length was used in this case, with 1 taken as the total RNA length. Mean sequence identity across the eRNAs is shown as a blue filled area.
