Gene expression profile of B. pseudomallei during infection of U937 cells. (A) The cluster diagrams show the expression profile of intracellular B. pseudomallei within U937 cells for 1 to 6 h relative to in vitro grown bacteria. Hierarchical clustering was performed with Euclidean correlation in TIGR-MeV. Expression values are determined from the SAM analysis with red representing up-regulation (ratio of + 8.0) and green representing down-regulation (ratio of - 8.0) on a log₂ scale. (B) Average relative levels of expression of representative functional groups. The vertical axis shows the fold change in expression on a log₂ scale.
