  1. Glucoamylase was assessed using steady-state samples. Mean values ± standard deviations for N402 and B36 were calculated from triplicate measurements of respective triplicate steady-state samples. aGlucoamylase gene copy number and relative glucoamylase transcripts level were assessed by qPCR using genomic DNA and cDNA as templates. bWestern blot analysis of glucoamylase protein. Culture filtrate samples corrected for equal amounts of biomass were loaded onto SDS-PAGE.
