  1. Molar growth yields (Y) and electron balance were calculated using the formula <C4H7O3> for cell material and the experimentally determined conversion factor OD600 = 1 = 0.250 g cell mass· L-1.
  2. Data show growth after 4 weeks. In most cases no further growth could be observed.
