Sample correlation for gene counts. This plot determines the correlation level between gene counts of both mRNA samples sequenced in one single 454 run. Due to the wide range of expression data, a log2-transformation [log2(counts + 1)] is applied in order to improve the graphical representation. The Pearson’s correlation coefficient which indicates if both samples present a linear relationship is 0.80. Qualimap [78] R routines were used to draw the plot.
