  1. SNPs were classified by the frequency of their rarer allele as follows: low frequency < 5%, moderate frequency 5-15%, and common 15-50%. Pn = non-synonymous SNPs, Ps = synonymous SNPs, Pn*/Ps* = ratio of non-synonymous to synonymous SNPs per non-synonymous and synonymous sites, respectively.
