  1. Uninfected control samples were used as references, i.e. control and Staphylococcus aureus infected samples from one individual at one time point were hybridized to one array. Dye-swap design was used, i.e. uninfected control samples were labeled with Cy5 and Staphylococcus aureus infected samples were labeled with Cy3, and subsequently swap labeling was applied.
