Distance between replicate peaks. (A) Cumulative distribution of the distances between nearest replicate peaks. The distance between each peak and the nearest peak in the replicate dataset was first calculated. The proportion of the dataset with a matching peak found at or closer than the selected distances was subsequently plotted. The sharp decrease in the slope of the distribution at about 30 bp indicates the point where increasing the distance threshold includes a diminishing number of new peaks.
