PKS2 gene cluster is assembled in a non-conserved region by gene relocations. The PKS2 gene and its flanking genes are matched with their orthologs in F. verticillioides. The numbers represent the genes of F. graminearum that are listed in Table 2. Orange colour represents genes that have orthologs, while grey colour indicates genes that have no clear orthologs in F. verticillioides. The boxes below represent the chromosomes of F. verticillioides and also the locations of orthologs on each chromosome. Sc26 is an unmapped supercontig in F. verticillioides.
