The rectangles represent sequences. The different shades of colors represent the degrees of divergence. (C) The three steps that were used in the sequence comparisons of the cultivar genomes. In step 2, the dVBs are shaded in gray. The sections that are divided by gray vertical lines are VBs. In step 3, the VB types are shown in white, gray, and blue. At each chromosomal position, VBs of identical types are represented by the same color. For each VB, the total number of types that was observed is indicated at the bottom.
