Distribution of the amount of CO 2 released at 89 hours in the segregating population in nitrogen-deficient medium (SM120). Fermentation rate was measured as the amount of CO2 released at 28°C. Segregants were sorted according to cumulative CO2 release (A) and the fermentation rate histogram (B). For both representation, purple and orange code represents the position of 1782-B1 and 2029-C5 parental strain, respectively.
