Tissue-specific expressions of trypsin-like genes. Total RNA was extracted from the fat body, midgut, salivary gland, ovary, male reproductive system and carcass (the remaining body) of N. lugens individuals, and used for the expression analysis of trypsin-like genes using qRT-PCR. The relative expression levels of each trypsin-like gene in each tissue were normalized using N. lugens 18 s rRNA threshold cycle (Ct) values. Three biological replications were conducted and the ΔΔCt method was used to measure the relative transcript levels in tissues. Results of triplicate experiments are shown with the standard deviations. The asterisk (**) indicates statistical significance at p < 0.01.
