Expression analysis of gonad differentially expressed transcripts by qRT-PCR. A&B 60 differentially expressed transcripts were chosen for quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR), qRT-PCR result showed that 17 (4 testis-predominant, 13 ovary-predominant) were confirmed as gonad-differentially expressed. C 68 ovary-specifically expressed transcripts were chosen for semi-quantitative PCR validation firstly. Then, 35 transcripts that expressed both in ovary and testis were performed for qRT-PCR. Result showed that 10 transcripts were expressed significantly higher in ovaries than in testes. D 55 testis-specifically expressed transcripts were chosen for semi-quantitative PCR validation firstly. Then, 41transcripts that expressed both in ovary and testis were performed for qRT-PCR. Result showed that 7 transcripts (5 testis-predominant, 2 ovary-predominant) were expressed in ovaries and testes with significant difference.
