(D) Virulence capacity of knockouts. Grey bars represent the average CI with respect to the D39 strain in an in vivo sepsis model. Diamonds represent the CI value of a single mouse. Values 10-fold higher or lower than the average (white diamonds) were not considered in calculations of the average CI (up to a maximum of 2 mice per knockout).
