Northern blot of tRNA-derived sRNAs in T. pseudonana under abiotic stress. Northern blots for six tRNA-derived sRNAs using RNA from T. pseudonana under different growth conditions (C = control growth; -Si = silicate starvation; -CO₂ = alkaline pH; -Fe = iron limitation; H₂O₂ = growth under 20 μM H₂O₂, two biological replicate experiments are shown for H₂O₂ treatments). ZR small RNA ladder (left), U6 probe hybridisation and EtBr gel (bottom) are provided for band sizing and to show equal loading of the above RNAs. A DNA blot (right) is provided as positive control, and consists of a DNA oligonucleotide with sequence identical to the target sRNA.
