Commonly expressed orthologs from the present study and those published previously as indicated on the X-axis, including two from bovine microarray studies [9, 11] and an RNA-seq study in humans and mice [19] were identified and included. The labels on the Y-axis are stage-specific modules of co-expressed genes. The color scheme, from white to red, indicates low to high levels of preservation.
