Effect of temperature on accumulation of podophyllotoxin content in rhizome tissue of S . hexandrum . Rhizome tissue was harvested at day 0, 14 and 21 from plants kept at 15°C and 25°C to measure podophyllotoxin content. Difference in the podophyllotoxin content at two temperatures was statistically insignificant as analyzed by Completely Randomized Design (CRD); though a decreasing trend of accumulation was observed at 25°C. Each value is a mean of three separate biological replicates. Error bars are standard error of the mean of three biological replicates.
