Expression analysis of GhHsfs in developing leaves during heat stress. Quantitative RT-PCR was performed to analyze the expression level of GhHsfs during heat stresses in young leaves (the third leaf of 20-day-old seedlings). The vertical axis represents the fold-change in expression relative to CK (1-fold). The horizontal axis represents the different times of treatment. CK: untreated young leaf; 1 h: young leaves were subjected to 42°C for 1 h. 2 h, 4 h: young leaves were returned to normal growth conditions and recovered for 2 h and 4 h after heat stress. Results were normalized using ubiquitin gene expression as the internal control (error bars indicate standard deviation).
