The gene orientation (5' → 3') is shown by the arrow. Exons are illustrated by vertical black boxes and highlighted blue across the plots; UTRs are highlighted yellow across the plots. For cat and orangutan, only the 1.2 kb and 200 bp 5'-flanking sequences were available. LTR, long terminal repeat elements; MIR, mammalian interspersed repeats; SINE, short interspersed nuclear elements.
