The chromosome sequence (here B. burgdorferi B31) is divided in non-overlapping fragments with a size equal to the length of the input plasmid sequence (the Borrelia plasmid lp5, NC_000957), after which a frequency distribution is made for both δ* and the GC percentage scores. The δ* value of the input plasmid sequence is plotted vertically in the fragment distribution, indicating the proportion of genomic fragments with a lower δ* value. Consequently, this analysis can be performed for the GC content. The value of the plasmid GC content plotted in the fragment distribution indicates the proportion of genomic fragments with a lower GC percentage.Back to article page
