Organisation of the inflammatory region genes across vertebrates. Class III gene orthologues were obtained from the Ensembl genome databases [60] for mouse (Mus musculus) (NCBI m36), opossum (M. domestica) (MonDom4), frog (X. tropicalis) (JGI 4.1), pufferfish (Takifugu rubripes) (FUGU 4.0) and zebrafish (Danio rerio) (Zv 6). Gene organisation was determined for each species based on these genome assemblies as well as from previously published work for opossum [4] zebrafish [8, 61] and frog [3].
