L2 cells were cultured in 30 mm cell culture dishes in F12 K medium supplemented with 10% of fetal bovine serum. When grown to 80 to 90% confluence, the cells were treated for 7 days with sodium arsenite (0–5 μM). The cell viability was significantly reduced at >1 μM of arsenite as determined using MTT assay.
