Bins are plotted on the x-axis as reported by van Os [18] with gene density (gene per kb) and repetitive sequences plotted on the y-axes. For BACs reported in a bin range, the average of the distance between the two bins was used. The centromere is located near bins 16–17 (Iovene and Jiang, unpub.).
