The C. elegans-divergent category refers to TF genes that lack unique reciprocal orthologs in other nematode species. (B) The network exhibits several high degree nodes, five of which – tag-331, eya-1, lin-35, sma-4, and pal-1 – are boxed and shown at high magnification on the right (marked by arrows). The node colors mark different TF genes (red: conserved among nematodes, fly, mouse, and human; yellow: conserved among the three nematode species; green: C. elegans-divergent). The network was visualized by using Cytoscape [81].
