The Figure shows results for 4000 subsequences of length a) 500 bases and b) 500 kb taken at random from the masked human genome. The correlation coefficients are 0.247 and -0.875 respectively. The correlation for 500 kb windows taken from the chicken genome is larger than for human.Back to article page
