Confirmation of differential miRNA expression. To confirm the differential expression of miR-30a, miR-143, miR-191*, and miR-223 in SAH and sham animals as well as the lack of differential expression of miR-145, additional qPCR assays were performed. Fold changes over sham were calculated using the 2^–ΔΔCt quantitative method and analyzed with Student’s t-tests. The differential expression of miR-191* and miR-223 could not be confirmed.
