  1. The number (and percentage of the total number of transcripts) and the average length (bp) of transcripts classified as ‘protein-coding (sense)’, ‘antisense’, ‘long non-coding RNA’ and ‘unknown’ are given for the total transcriptome, for all differentially expressed transcripts (compared to unconditioned expression) combined (transcripts that are differentially expressed at multiple time points are counted once), and for each of the three time points after conditioning of (a) N. vitripennis and (b) N. giraulti. For the ‘antisense’ transcripts, the number of transcripts with a hit to a protein, a sense transcript or both is also given. The number of transcripts with a putative ORF is given for ‘long non-coding RNA’ and ‘unknown’ transcripts.
