Differences of motifs predicted by \({\mathcal {M}_{-}^{\mathrm {C}}}\) and \({\mathcal {M}_{\text {BA}}^{\mathrm {C}}}\). The height of the base stacks is quantified by the Jensen-Shannon divergence, where high base stacks represent high motif differences. We find significant motif differences exceeding 0.1 bit for all five data sets (Additional file 1: Figure S5, Figure S6, Figure S7, Figure S8 and Figure S9)
