Chromosomes have been colour-coded to indicate homology to chicken chromosomes. The position of interstitial telomere signals and site of potential fusion is indicated by a red line to the left of chromosomes 7 and 8. BAC clones assigned to microchromosomes as part of this study were mapped together with anchor BACs that distinguish each of the individual microchromosomes [11]
