Localization of BAC clones carrying LanFTc1 and LanFTc2 genes in L. angustifolius mitotic chromosomes. Chromosomes were counterstained with DAPI whereas BAC clones DNA was labelled with tetramethylrhodamine-5-dUTP - red signals and digoxigenin-11-dUPT - green signals. Common localization resulted in yellow signals. Scale bar = 5 μm. The following combinations of clone pairs were used in BAC-FISH: a, both clones from contig 1; b, one clone from every contig; c, a clone from contig 1 and a BAC cytogenetic marker for linkage group NLL-10; d, a clone from contig 2 and a BAC cytogenetic marker for linkage group NLL-17
