Solid arrows indicate a documented direct interaction, while dashed arrows represent interactions linked through an intermediary. The transcription regulator CEBP/E directly interacts with IL6, CXCL8, and TNF establishing a link between the homozygous AA TRPM2 horses and expression of immune related genes. The indirect interactions show the relationship of TRPM2 to the differentially expressed genes and thus suggesting a role for TRPM2 in innate immunity.
