  1. Phenotype evaluations were completed at Isabela and Mayaguez, Puerto Rico in 2013 and 2014, respectively. Means followed by a common letter are not significantly different according to Fisher’s least significant different test
  2. 1Flowering time refers to days to 50% flowering of the plot
  3. 2Plant height (cm) refer to the distance from the base of the main stalk to the top of the panicle without sorghum converted accessions
  4. 3Panicle length (cm) refers to the distance from the base to the top of the panicle
  5. 4Panicle diameter (cm) refers to the wider region of the panicle
  6. 5Ratio refers to the length/diameter
  7. 6Seed size refers to the volume of 100 seeds
  8. 7Dhurrin (μg/cm2) content in leaf measure at post-flowering stage using HPLC [53]
  9. 8G15 refers to the percent of 30 seeds that germinated after 72 h at 15 °C in growth chamber
  10. n.s., ** and *** refers to no significant, and significant effects at p ≤ 0.01 and .005, respectively
  11. C.V. refer to coefficient of variation
