Overview of the ICELL8 single-cell RNA-seq workflow. a High-throughput single-cell RNA-seq is performed by dispensing a single-cell suspension onto a microchip (containing 5184 nanowells), followed by microchip imaging, and on-chip cDNA generation. The process is completed by standard in-tube NGS library generation, Illumina sequencing and computational data analysis. b Histogram of the number of wells containing 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 cells as determined by image analysis software.
